A tissue-level implant carries its own transmucosal collar, so the implant-abutment junction sits at the soft-tissue level rather than at the bone. The Surcam C-Type Tissue Level implant combines the parallel body and dual multi-thread of the C-Type with a 2 mm TiN-coated collar, for one-stage placement without a separate healing abutment stage.

It has a 2.43 mm internal hex connection, so it restores with the full range of Surcam internal hex abutments, healing caps and multi-unit components. It comes in Ø3.3, 3.75 and 4.2 mm and lengths from 8 to 16 mm. For a two-stage approach at the bone crest, see bone-level implants.

Tissue-level implants place the implant-abutment junction above the bone, at the level of the soft tissue. That keeps the connection away from the crestal bone and allows one-stage surgery, because the collar passes through the gum from the day of placement.

The Surcam C-Type Tissue Level implant has a 2 mm TiN-coated collar, a parallel body with a dual multi-thread, an SLA surface and a 2.43 mm internal hex. It comes in Ø3.3, 3.75 and 4.2 mm, 8 to 16 mm long. Implants ship gamma-sterilized, one implant and cover screw per sterile pack.

Tissue-level or bone-level?

Tissue-level

The collar passes through the gum, so the junction sits above the bone and placement is one-stage.

Bone-level

The implant sits at the crest, giving more freedom over emergence profile, often with a separate healing stage.

Surcam C-Type TL

Parallel body and dual multi-thread, 2 mm TiN collar, internal hex 2.43 mm, Ø3.3 to 4.2 mm, 8 to 16 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tissue-level implant FAQ

What is a tissue-level implant?

An implant with a built-in transmucosal collar, so the implant-abutment junction sits at the soft-tissue level instead of at the bone crest.

What is the difference between tissue-level and bone-level implants?

A bone-level implant is placed at the crest and usually restored after a healing stage. A tissue-level implant extends through the gum with its own collar, so placement is one-stage and the connection stays away from the bone.

What connection does the C-Type Tissue Level implant use?

A 2.43 mm internal hex, so it restores with Surcam internal hex abutments, healing caps and multi-unit components.

What sizes are available?

Ø3.3, 3.75 and 4.2 mm, in lengths from 8 to 16 mm, all with a 2 mm TiN-coated collar.

Is the implant supplied sterile?

Yes. Implants ship gamma-sterilized, one implant and cover screw per sterile pack.
