This Privacy Policy explains how Surcam Medical Devices and Developments Ltd. ("Surcam", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit surcamdental.shop (the "Site"), contact us or place an order.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

Account and order information: name, clinic or laboratory name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, order history, and professional details you provide.
Payment information: processed by our payment providers. Surcam does not store full card numbers.
Communications: messages you send by email, WhatsApp, contact forms or the on-site chat.
Device and usage information: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, search terms and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we use it

To process, ship and support your orders (performance of a contract).
To answer your questions and provide customer support.
To prevent fraud and secure the Site (legitimate interest).
To meet legal, tax and medical device record-keeping obligations, including traceability of products (legal obligation).
To measure and improve the Site and our advertising, and to send marketing where you have agreed (consent or legitimate interest).

4. On-site chat

The chat on the Site is provided through Shopify Inbox and may be answered by an automated AI assistant before a team member reviews it. Messages are stored in Shopify and used to answer you and improve our support. Do not share patient information in the chat.

5. Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders and payments. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
Payment providers and shipping carriers, to complete your order.
Analytics and advertising partners: Google (Analytics, Ads, YouTube) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram).
Service apps used on the Site, such as product reviews (Judge.me, Trustpilot), translation (GTranslate) and search.
Authorities, where required by law, including medical device regulators.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies that are necessary for the store to work, and, depending on your location and choices, cookies for analytics and advertising. Where required, non-essential cookies are used only after you consent in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also opt out of personalised ads through Google Ad Settings and Meta Ad Preferences, and opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on.

7. International transfers

Surcam is based in Israel, and our service providers process data in other countries, including the United States, Canada and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual safeguards.

8. Retention

We keep order and transaction records for as long as required by tax and medical device traceability laws, and other information only as long as needed for the purposes above.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. This includes rights under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, the EU and UK GDPR, and applicable US state privacy laws. To make a request, email surcam-usa@surcamdental.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some records cannot be deleted while the law requires us to keep them.

10. Automated decisions

We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing. Shopify uses limited automated fraud screening on transactions.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

12. Professional audience

The Site is intended for dental professionals and is not directed to children.

13. Complaints

Contact us first at surcam-usa@surcamdental.com. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to the data protection authority in your country.

14. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
