Surcam Prime MU Transfers FAQs
Which systems is this compatible with?
Designed for the Surcam Prime Multi-Unit system on Internal Hex 2.42 mm implants. Use only with matching Prime MU components and verify interface fit.
When should I choose a closed-tray transfer over open-tray?
Use closed-tray when interocclusal space is limited, access is restricted, or you prefer a simpler tray without a screw-access window—while maintaining impression accuracy.
What is the Prime Coating and why is it helpful?
Prime Coating provides a smooth, durable finish on the transmucosal zone to aid tissue friendliness and cleansability during impression seating/removal.
How is it used clinically?
Seat and hand-tighten the transfer, confirm full seating and indexing, load the tray with PVS/polyether, take the impression, remove the tray, and then transfer the coping into the impression for model work as per protocol.
What’s included in the package?
IMTSP-01A (closed tray transfer with Prime Coating), WQP-0011 (plastic for closed-tray pickup), and 1× screw.
Do I need a special tray?
A rigid custom tray is recommended for accuracy; ensure proper relief and material thickness per impression material IFU.
