Provisional abutment for soft-tissue shaping & esthetic emergence (Internal Hex 2.42)
The Surcam Temporary Aesthetic Abutment is a provisional (temporary) abutment designed to shape soft tissue and establish a clean emergence profile prior to the final restoration. Machined from Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), it’s available in rotational and non-rotational (anti-rotational) variants to suit single units or short-span provisionals.
With a low gingival height of 1.0 mm, this abutment is ideal for esthetic contouring, reduced chair time, and predictable provisionalization on Internal Hex 2.42 mm platforms.

Temporary Abutments FAQs
Which implant platforms are compatible?
Internal Hex 2.42 mm systems including Alpha Bio®, Zimmer®, MIS®, Adin®, Implant Direct®, AB Dental®. Always verify platform dimensions and interface before use.
When should I choose rotational vs. non-rotational?
Use non-rotational for single-unit provisionals to prevent crown rotation. Choose rotational for multi-unit/short-span temps where anti-rotation is achieved by splinting/framework design.
Can it be used for immediate temporization?
Yes, case-dependent. Immediate provisionals require adequate primary stability, controlled occlusion, and adherence to your surgical/prosthetic protocol.
What torque should I apply to the prosthetic screw?
Follow the implant system IFU for temporary/prosthetic screw torque values. Do not exceed manufacturer specifications.
How do I manage soft-tissue contours with only 1.0 mm GH?
Create the desired emergence profile by adding/adjusting the provisional crown contour at the cervical zone; the 1.0 mm GH helps avoid excessive subgingival bulk while guiding tissue.
