Multi-Unit Abutments

Straight and angled multi-unit abutments for screw-retained bridges and full-arch All-on-X restorations.

Straight and angled multi-unit abutments (MUAs) for screw-retained bridges and full-arch All-on-X restorations, in three platform-matched lines. Every transfer, analog, scan body, Ti-base and sleeve you need to finish the case is here too.

What is a multi-unit abutment?

A multi-unit abutment (MUA) is an intermediate abutment that brings several implants up to a common restorative level at the soft tissue. This lets a screw-retained bridge or full-arch prosthesis seat passively and stay retrievable. Angled multi-unit abutments correct implant angulation, for example on tilted distal implants in All-on-4 and All-on-X protocols, so the screw access channels exit through the occlusal or palatal surface of the prosthesis.

Choose your multi-unit line

  • General Multi-Unit: internal hex 2.42 mm. Straight abutments in gingival heights from 1 to 6 mm (depending on platform). Angled abutments at 18°, 30° and 45° in 2–6 mm heights, plus narrow (NP) and wide (WP Ø4.5) options. Designed for internal hex 2.42 mm platforms such as Alpha-Bio®, Zimmer®, MIS®, Adin®, Implant Direct® and AB Dental®.
  • Prime Multi-Unit: internal hex, PVD-coated. Straight abutments in 1–6 mm heights and angled abutments at 18°, 30° and 45° (Ø3.75 standard platform), with Prime sleeves for immediate loading, welding and casting.
  • Conical Multi-Unit: NP 3.5 / RP 4.3. Compatible with Nobel Active® NP 3.5 and RP 4.3 platforms. Straight abutments in 1.5–5.5 mm heights and angled abutments at 17°, 30° and 45° in 2.5–4.5 mm heights.

Straight or angled multi-unit abutments?

  • Straight MUAs are used when implants are close to parallel and the screw access already exits in an acceptable position.
  • Angled MUAs are used to compensate for divergent or deliberately tilted implants and to restore a common path of insertion for the framework. Choose the angle that brings the access channel to the planned position.
  • Gingival (cuff) height should place the restorative margin at or slightly above the mucosa so the prosthesis stays cleansable.

Multi-Unit Abutment FAQs

What angles do your angled multi-unit abutments come in?

Internal hex (General and Prime) angled abutments come in 18°, 30° and 45°; the wide-platform and narrow angled versions come in 18° and 30°. Conical connection angled abutments come in 17°, 30° and 45°.

Which multi-unit abutment fits my implant?

Match the connection first: internal hex 2.42 mm (General or Prime) or conical NP 3.5 / RP 4.3. Then choose straight or angled, and the gingival height for the site. If you're restoring another manufacturer's implants, confirm the platform on the compatibility chart.

Do you sell prosthetic screws for multi-unit abutments?

Yes. Line-matched prosthetic screws are available in 10-packs for General, Prime and Conical multi-units, including long-head screws for Prime. Check each product page for pack contents, and follow the IFU supplied with each component for torque values.

Do you offer multi-unit components for full-arch and All-on-X cases?

Yes. The multi-unit line covers the full restorative sequence, from healing caps and impression transfers to scan bodies, Ti-bases and titanium sleeves for immediate loading. For case planning, see our guide to All-on-4 dental implants.
